Rev. Tom Harrison was born in Norman, Oklahoma. He attended Sequoyah Elementary and Cleveland Jr. High in Tulsa. He has undergraduate and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Oral Roberts University, and a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate from Oklahoma City University.
Tom pastored Vici/Lenora (Woodward District), Sallisaw (Muskogee District) and Sunny Lane (Oklahoma City South District). He has been the senior pastor at Asbury United Methodist in Tulsa since 1993.
Tom has served as a delegate to Jurisdictional and General Conferences of The United Methodist Church, and as a delegate to the World Methodist Council. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary in Tallinn, Estonia; as the alumni chair for Asbury Theological Seminary; and on the Oklahoma Wesleyan Board of Trustees. He has written 12 books called Perceptions which are heard on five Tulsa FM radio stations during the peak morning drive.
Tom and his wife, Dana, have three children, Joshua, Jessee and Jeffrey.
