In March of 2013, the Will Rogers High School Community Foundation, Inc, Board of Directors, approved a vote to have a Year Long Celebration honoring the 75th Anniversary of Will Rogers High School, with Iris Warlick Studenny ’66 Chairing the Year of Events.

The 1st Event was the November 11, 2013 Hall of Fame Ceremony, Chaired by David Rader.

The 2nd Events were held on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
Beginning with an Open House at the School Building from 10:00 am to 2:00pm
Which included Free Tours of the Building revealing the history of our Art Deco Masterpiece.
A Lunch, serving Tulsa Public Schools Recipe of Bean Chowder and Cinnamon rolls, $6. per person ( which ran out due to unexpectedly large crowds.)
And a Classic and Antique Car Show on the Parking Lot featuring WR Grads car collections.
An Estimated 1000+ people enjoyed the School Activities, the halls were crowded!

Will Rogers High School 75th Anniversary Gala
Downtown Cox Convention Center
Tulsa, Oklahoma
For a Ticket Price of $75.00 per person, Guests Enjoyed, the ability of sitting at a table with their classmates, under decade banners overhead, and the ability of Reserving a Table for 10, in advance.
Doors opened at 6:00pm, guests could find their seating, enjoy hearing music from 1940 to Current day, the cash bar, bidding on items at the Silent Auction Tables, and receiving a free/gift photograph from the open air photo booth, and could purchase souvenirs of the event.
Following opening welcome by Foundation President, Joann Meade Lewis ’65, introductions of Tulsa Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard and his wife, and OK State Senator, the Honorable Eric Procter and his wife.
After a moment of silence honoring our deceased classmates and classmates who served in our Armed Forces, The group was lead in the singing of the school Alma Mater, and the School fight song.
At 7:00pm, a two entree dinner was served prepared by head Chef Devin Levine.
Approximately 900 were in attendance, remarking afterwards of the excellent food, fun activities, and joyful time spent with classmates.

The third and final Event of the 75th Anniversary is a Homecoming at the School Building for the Week end beginning October 10, 2014.

A resolution celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the construction of Will Rogers High School was adopted by the House of Representatives April 9, 2014 and signed by the Presiding Officer of the House of Representatives, Eric Proctor.
